At Guy-Raymond, supporting our local community as well as national charities has always been part of the company ethos. This year has been no different.<\/p>\n

Members of staff donned their aprons and baked goodies to take part in the nationwide coffee morning in September for Macmillan Cancer Support, charity that has been helping cancer patients and their families for over 100 years. Between those who baked and those who enjoyed the wonderful array of cakes and pastries a total of\u00a0\u00a3319.46 was raised.<\/p>\n

October is\u00a0Breast Cancer\u00a0Now\u2019s cancer awareness month.\u00a0 \u00a0Supervisor Maria Symonds organises Guy-Raymond\u2019s participation in the \u2018Wear it Pink\u2019 day, which is one of the biggest fundraising events in the UK. It was great to see so many staff changing from the Guy-Raymond blue for the day and wearing pink. \u00a3102 was contributed to the \u00a331.5 million raised for life-saving research since the event began in 2002.<\/p>\n

The last day before Christmas saw everyone once again dressed up and getting into the Christmas spirit. This has now become a tradition; a different charity is supported each year. 2018 was in aid of Norfolk\u2019s brain injury charity Headway, and, in the spirit of giving we raised a fantastic \u00a3122.20.<\/p>\n

In addition to the above events, Guy-Raymond has a history of regularly supporting a number of national charities including: SS Great Britain, which whilst preserving a national monument helps inspire young people with science, technology, engineering and maths;<\/p>\n

Norfolk Tapping House which supports, cares for and provides advice to patients over the age of 18, their carers and families though all stages of their illness;<\/p>\n

Kings Lynn\u2019s Festival Too, which is celebrating its 34th year of bringing free entertainment over three weeks to King’s Lynn, and enjoys the reputation of being one of Europe’s largest free festivals.<\/p>\n
