2018 has been a very busy year so far for Guy-Raymond. After many meetings drafts and discussions, we finally have our modern, user-friendly website courtesy of Anna and the team at Sound Wave Marketing & KAWeb. Included in the new website are our product photos from our 2018 photoshoot with Craig at Focalpoint, we think you’ll agree that the photos really do highlight the quality of our products- so a big thank you to both teams- we’re sure that our customers old and new will appreciate the new site design.
We held our 2018 agents conference in March where we shared our visions for the future and gave our agents a sneak peek of our soon to be launched GRX38 castor, which received an extremely positive response, so watch this space…
Following on from this event, yet more excitement in 2018 with the addition of five new Fanuc Roboshot injection moulding machines. As well as being very low maintenance, they’ve reduced our electricity bill by 5%. Injection moulding accounts for 60% of our electricity consumption, so that is a big saving!
As it is our 70th year, we couldn’t let it pass without celebrating. We decided to make the most of our space and host our anniversary party on the field behind the factory, attended by over 250 people, including founder Raymond Daniels, (now 90 years old). We were lucky enough to have glorious sunshine on the day, there were ice creams, fish and chips, a hog roast, amazing cupcakes – and let’s not forget of course – the very pretty Prosecco Van selling all sorts of refreshments. There was also plenty of entertainment, including a disco, a bucking bronco, a bungee run, face painting, a penalty shootout, a fancy dress competition and more. As well as all of this, Managing Director Kelvin planned four factory tours to show the workings of the business. All of the places were quickly filled, which we took as a compliment that so many people – friends, family and children- are interested in what we do. It was a wonderful atmosphere and fantastic to be surrounded by so many of the hardworking, loyal people who make Guy-Raymond’s long-lasting and continuing success possible over the last 70 years.
