The information we collect

We collect information you give us and some information collected automatically when you use our website.

  • Contact details: name, job title, company, address, phone number and email, when you enquire, request a quote, order or contact us.
  • Business and transaction details: orders, quotes, delivery and invoicing details, and correspondence with you or your employer.
  • Marketing preferences: whether you want to hear from us and how.
  • Website usage data: IP address, browser type, device, pages viewed and how you arrived, collected through cookies where you allow them (see Cookies below).

We may also receive your business contact details from your employer, our distributors or publicly available sources such as company websites.

How we use it and our lawful basis

We only use your information where the law allows. The table shows each purpose and the lawful basis we rely on.

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have balanced our interests against your rights. You can object at any time (see Your rights below).

If you do not give us information we need to fulfil an order or contract, we may not be able to provide the product or service.

Marketing

We may send you news, product updates and offers about Guy-Raymond products by email, phone or post. We send our marketing emails using Mailchimp. We do not pass your details to other companies for their own marketing.

You can opt out at any time by clicking “unsubscribe” in any email, or by emailing info@guy-raymond.co.uk with “unsubscribe” in the subject line. We will stop within 30 days, usually much sooner.

Who we share it with

We share your information only where needed for the purposes above:

  • Service providers who act on our instructions: IT and website hosting, email marketing (Mailchimp), website analytics and form spam protection (Google), couriers and payment providers.
  • Our agents and distributors in your territory, to handle your enquiry or order.
  • Survey providers, for customer satisfaction surveys.
  • Professional advisers, such as accountants, auditors and lawyers.
  • Regulators, law enforcement or courts where the law requires it.

We do not sell your personal information.

International transfers: some providers, such as Mailchimp and Google, are based in the United States or may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as UK adequacy regulations (including the UK-US Data Bridge) or the ICO’s International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.

How long we keep it

We keep your information only as long as we need it.

After these periods we securely delete or anonymise the information.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information. These include an SSL-encrypted website, firewalls, access controls and staff confidentiality.

No internet transmission is completely secure. If a data breach is likely to put you at risk, we will tell you and the ICO as the law requires.

Cookies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use strictly necessary cookies to make the website work. We only set analytics cookies if you accept them in our cookie banner.
