Stainless steel is highly resistant to corrosion

To meet the demands of environments which require improved corrosion resistance, castors are available with stainless steel fixings and internal parts. Stainless steel is highly resistant to corrosion, helping you to meet the requirements of medical wet areas such as operating theatres and other challenging environments including the food processing industry.
The subcomponents are all manufactured from stainless steel, as well as offering excellent corrosion resistance it is also less magnetic than standard mild steel. A number of threaded and circlip stems are available, offering various fixing possibilities.
For MRI applications, Guy-Raymond can offer brass fittings which are non-magnetic. Important for specific areas around magnetic resonance imaging equipment. The brass is an alloy of copper and zinc, offering similar strength and durability to the standard castors incorporating mild steel bright zinc plated subcomponents.
